In the first place let the thought be lodged in the mind as a universal principle that every man is a duality, a double being, a oneness growing out of the interpenetration of two natures, male and female, in this terrestrial world, and also a corresponding duality in the Soul or sidereal world. By close observation, it will be found that every man has two different spheres of consciousness; one from the positive vibration of the male, and another from the passive, negative vibration of the female. Also, a consciousness from the external sphere of the natural world, and another from the interior sphere of the Soul and Spiritual world.

I know this is a long shot but I’m desperate. I’m from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and my Miniature Australian Shepherd got out this evening around 7:30pm. Her name is Mocha, and she’s a red merle (red, tan and white), about 20-25lbs, fully vaccinated, microchipped and was last seen by the lighthouse on Lake Drive around 9pm. She lives on Frederick Ave closer to North Ave and is very friendly but likely scared and skittish. Please if you’re in the Milwaukee area or have followers there reblog to spread this around. Please call (262)305-5212 if she’s spotted or if you have any information.

Illusions of the Body was made to tackle the supposed norms of what we think our bodies are supposed to look like. Most of us realize that the media displays only the prettiest photos of people, yet we compare ourselves to those images. We never get to see those photos juxtaposed against a picture of that same person looking unflattering. That contrast would help a lot of body image issues we as a culture have.
Within the series I tried get a range of body types, ethnicities & genders to show how everyone is a different shape & size; there is no “normal”. Each photo was taken with the same lighting & the same angle.
Celebrate your shapes, sizes & the odd contortions your body can get itself into. The human body is a weird & beautiful thing.
